WiCca’s search reward of choice is Old Fashioned Tim Bits, and her favourite pastime is running through the bushes collecting as many burs as possible in her fur. She also has a double row of eyelashes, which she is not afraid to bat when she wants her way.

Over many years of service, she played an important role in search efforts and contributed to meaningful outcomes in the field.

Her talents extended beyond search work, with Canadian and American obedience titles as well as a Canadian tracking title. True to her playful nature, Tyndre’s favourite toy was a Kong on a rope, and she was always happy to share a game with anyone willing to join in.

Like WiCca Bean, the capital “C” in his name comes from his search command, Cerca, meaning “search” in Italian. PaCe began training in live-find wilderness and disaster search when he was just 12 weeks old.

Outside of search work, PaCe has one very unique talent: every October, he rappels down the outside of a 17-storey building with his handler.

When it comes to treats, he has a clear order of preference: lettuce first, then cow’s ear. He also has a special toe known as the “Raptor Claw,” which doesn’t function quite properly and seems to have a mind of its own.
